Artisans, restaurants, riversides, it is a lively and very attractive place all year round but particularly in the summer months. Here we go ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"ls__heading wp-block-heading\">A village on the banks of the V\u00e9z\u00e8re<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\">As its name indicates, Saint-L\u00e9on-sur-V\u00e9z\u00e8re is located near the eponymous <strong>river<\/strong>, it is nestled in a meander of the V\u00e9z\u00e8re. Located between<strong> Montignac-Lascaux<\/strong> and <strong>Les Eyzies-de-Tayac<\/strong>, it is a mecca of prehistory and medieval times and one of the most popular vacation spots in<strong> P\u00e9rigord Noir<\/strong>! Come stroll through its little Couredoux (small streets), its <strong>medieval streets<\/strong> lined with village houses made of golden cut stone. Here, everything is beautiful and the municipality takes care of its heritage by enhancing it with magnificent multicolored flowers. 2 large <strong>municipal car parks<\/strong> (one is free) allow you to park, even by bus and motorhome. You can <strong>visit the village on foot<\/strong>, it is compact and picturesque. Don&#8217;t miss the discovery of its shops, the meeting with the many <strong>artisans<\/strong>, eating in one of its many <strong>restaurants <\/strong>and enjoying the discovery of the main heritage monuments: the Romanesque<strong> church of Saint-L\u00e9on-sur-V\u00e9z\u00e8re<\/strong>, the<strong> Eiffel-style metal bridge<\/strong>, the Cl\u00e9rans manor (private), the former Maison de la Marine which administered the circulation of barges on the river (the town hall)\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\">Saint-L\u00e9on-sur-V\u00e9z\u00e8re is a major stronghold of river navigation, there are<strong> 3 canoe-kayak rental bases<\/strong> which offer routes on the V\u00e9z\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ls-list ls-list-undefined wp-block-list\">\n<li>Just after the metal bridge of Saint-L\u00e9on, continuing the road for 3 minutes towards Peyzac-le-Moustier, you will arrive at <strong>La Roque Saint-Christophe<\/strong>! 5 minutes\u2019 drive further is the <strong>Maison Forte de Reignac<\/strong>! Visit these 2 other complementary sites by opting for the trio or <a href=\"https:\/\/roque.ats-sarlat.com\/cgi-bin\/progats\/ecommerce?licence=24LA_ROQUE_ST02&amp;typprest=3\">duo Paired Ticket<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"ls__heading wp-block-heading\">The point of view from the C\u00f4te de Jor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\">Saint-L\u00e9on-sur-V\u00e9z\u00e8re has several facets. There is the heart of the village, but the commune is extended and goes beyond the town. Come and discover the <strong>C\u00f4te de Jor,<\/strong> a somewhat magical place where many centers of interpretation of <strong>Tibetan Buddhism<\/strong> have taken refuge. There are 2 main centers on the hill and Buddhist retreat places.
